Doughnut Horns

Ingredients

  • Yeast – 10 gm
  • Milk – 30ml
  • Bread improver –3.2 gm
  • Flour – 180gm
  • Sugar – 10 gm
  • Salt -3 gm
  • Eggs – 2no
  • Water – 80 ml
  • Butter– 30gm
  • Rich’s Better Crème – 150gm

Method

  • Pre heat oil 160 deg C .
  • Mix all the ingredients except oil in the dough mixing machine .
  • Run the machine in 1stgear till the dough comes together likea ball .
  • Stop and change to second gear and run the machine for 8 minutes.
  • Add the oil in a slow and steady stream, until all the oil is absorbed into the dough .
  • Take the dough out on the table cover and bulk prove. Knock back & roll it into 4 mm thickness & cut with a pizza cutter. Roll this strip over aluminum horns.
  • Deep fry in oil until a golden brown colour.
  • Roll in castor sugar.
  • Whip Rich’s Better crème & pipe rosette on top of doughnut .
  • Serve cold.
