Chiffon Sponge Tres leches cake

  • Egg White 500 gms
  • Cream of tartar 1/4tsp
  • Sugar 225gms
  • Water 140gms
  • Oil 170gms
  • Vanilla extract as req
  • Egg yolk 250gms
  • Sugar 75gms
  • Flour 265gms
  • Salt a pinch
  • For Finishing
  • Rich’s Sweetmate 600gms
  • Rich’s New Niagara Farms 350gms


  • Whip egg white, cream of tartar & sugar until firm. In separate bowl sieve flour & salt together
  • Mix egg yolk, sugar, water & oil in a bowl & slowly fold in the flour
  • Fold in whipped egg white & stirring gently.
  • Pour mixture in greased & lined baking tray & bake at 180C for 25mins.
  • Pour the Rich’s sweetmate on hot cake
  • To Serve:
  • Whip Rich’s New Niagara Farms until peak consistency
  • Spread on top of the cake & serve
